FRISBEE

Wow! We had a ton of fun on saturday! It was awesome legit.  5 on 5 ultimate frisbee was a ton of fun.  The competition was great to see.  Very one sided affair for the first two games.  OLD GUYS RULE!!
(Not that old, just older than the high schoolers).  It leaves me wanting more frisbee action.  Leaves me demanding more people be there next time.  Leaves me question a fun yet silly idea.  OAKDALE's 1st ultimate frisbee league!!!  I think it is highly possible.  Here's what I am thinking I'd love a 8 man team league.  So we could be compliant with USA Frisbee regulations of 7 on 7.  We have the field available.  We have the time.  We also would be able to have the prize of a sick trophy to hang on the wall.  I was thinking we would have one referee for the game even.  It would add to validity of the league.  I think the best part of all of it is obtaining jerseys! This is where the interesting part comes in.  I'm thinking we charge everyone $30 to pay for frisbees and jerseys! I know it sounds silly but it would honestly make sure people show up to play.  Win! It could be a way of out reach to our community to invite your friends and importantly have fun!

Wow! It's been forever since I used this blog.  But I am going to be more committed to using this to get information out to you high schoolers.  With that being said... RCP is around the corner!!! Man it's going to be awesome!  The best week of your summer hands down!!!

Of course we have a great camp speaker as well.  His name is Jeff, he's a great friend.  I can not say enough about him.  He loves young people, God, and is a lot of fun.  I have a lot of great Jeff stories.

There are so many things to do at camp! Swimming pool, climbing tower, paintball, ropes course, archery, ice cream shack, gift shop, chill in the AC lounge, frisbee golf and etc.  There are ton of fun activities such as Slip and Slides, Jello wars, and amazing BELLY FLOP contest!

WINTER CAMP

Winter Camp is coming!


FEB 25-27th it's going to be awesome!  A weekend up in the mountains with a handful of other churches, friends, and GOD.  Make sure you sign up.  It's only $60.  So bring yourself and a friend.  $60 includes, transportation, food, shelter and awesome worship time.  Make sure you do not miss it.  If you have any questions be sure to come to 180 on Tuesday Nights 7pm.

Hey guys!

It's that time of the year where we get ready to be thankful.  We put turkey in our bellies and gravy on everything.  This month as we reflect on all the things we have to be thankful for we will be focusing on the book/story of Hosea.  Amazing story that points out clearly that we need a savior.  We need forgiveness.  We needed Jesus to come.  There was no other way.  So a long with all the food we eat, remember be thankful for forgiveness.

Announcements: November 21/22.  Youth Group will not be meeting at the Church.  Both nights we will be meeting elsewhere.  More information to come.
